The Washington Nationals aren’t used to losing series. They haven’t lost one in four weeks since they lost in Miami. The Marlins have certainly come up with ways to frustrate the hot Nats team.

The Nats are back at .500 so you certainly know what a win means today if the Nats can find a way to beat the Marlins best pitcher, Max Meyer, in the today’s series finale. After the game, the Nats have a day-off in Arizona as the team has a West Coast swing to play the Diamondbacks this weekend, and the San Francisco Giants after that.

This had been Jake Irvin‘s spot in the starting rotation, and he is on the 15-day IL currently. For the second consecutive time, Andrew Alvarez will take Irvin’s spot in the rotation.
